Full Description:

• What’s involved:

I. To increase value and quality within the Borough’s commissioning of children’s and young people’s placements in the private and voluntary sector.

II. To provide social workers with researched information on available residential and fostering placements for children and young people, taking into account ‘best value’ principles.

III. To collate and regularly update information about providers of residential and foster care.

IV. To negotiate basic contractual terms and fees paid to provider agencies

V. To provide statistical information for service planning.

VI. To attend the placement forum and advise senior management on potential problems commensurate with the management of the placement’s forum.
